26/27 Fall and Winter Season
The season promises to provide our student-athletes with outstanding opportunities to compete in high school hockey. We plan to field a Varsity Team and a Junior Varsity Team. Both teams play in the largest league in the State - IHSHL North Central.
Who
9th graders through 12th graders that attend Buffalo Grove, Hersey, or Wheeling High Schools.
When
The season will run from the first week of September through early March
Where
BG/H/W Hockey primarily skates out of West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows and Orbit Ice Arena in Palatine.
Practices
JV and Varsity will have two team practices per week and a skills/goalie clinic every other week.
Games
JV and Varsity both play in the competitive IHSHL North Central Division. Between regular season league games, playoffs, exhibition games, and tournaments Varsity averages between 45-55 games and JV averages between 40-50 games.

Uniforms
If you are new to the program, there is a one time player package fee of $600 that includes a team bag, a set of game jerseys, shell, game socks, warm up jacket, and helmet decals. A black helmet and black gloves are required, but not included in the package
Extra Costs
There are no hidden costs. All families will pay their season fees and that includes everything (except the new player uniform fee). We do not have a slush fund or an extra fees that are mandatory within the season.
2026/27 Regular Season
All Skaters will pay the $5400 + Online Registration Fees. If a player is assigned to the varsity roster they will pay an additional $500 + registration fees. If you want to pay in cash/Zelle and avoid the registration fees, please let Chris Waters know.
Goalie Fees: $4250 + online registration fee or If you want to pay in cash and avoid the registration fees, please let Chris Waters know.
New Player Package: $600 (includes warm ups, jerseys, bag, socks, shell, and helmet decals)
Returning Players - If you need replacement socks, shell, jersey, etc please contact Chris Waters for prices
Payment Information: You will be charged for the season fee immediately upon registration. You can choose to pay in full or in a payment plan.
*When you pay in full via check or cash, you will be sent a code so you don't have to pay via the website.
